Main Task!

Afternoon all,

Hurrah! We've now started your main task. You must make sure that you are completing your initial ideas (*3 per student) and your analysis of music magazine front covers and articles.
I'll upload the checklists as per usual so you can all see how you're doing.
Remember you can work independently and complete pieces before I ask for them.

Completed Preliminary Tasks

Afternoon all,

You have all been given the deadlines verbally, but here's a written reminder too!
All finished contents pages and front covers need to be uploaded by end of day Monday 9th November and all evaluations must be complete by Friday 13th (unlucky for some!). Use the lesson on Friday (I am not here) to make sure everything is polished an perfect. I will be marking your work from Monday 16th November.

Use the questions below to write, film or record your evaluation of your preliminary task:
• In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
• How does your media product represent particular social groups?
• What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
• Who would be the audience for your media product?
• How did you attract/address your audience?
• What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
• What do you feel you have learnt in the progression from starting the course to finishing your preliminary task?

Afternoon all,

Remember your prelim task (front cover and contents page of a new student magazine) needs to be finished by the end of this week! Some of you have a lot of work to do!! Keep on looking at eachother's blogs to get ideas and comment to give constructive feedback-this is a requirement which you will be marked on!
